I have a very long slideout with a topper awning on my 45' Monaco. Does anyone lube the top seal and if so, how???

My seal has come loose on the right top corner and is pulling out several inches along about 15' on the top of the slide. I'm thinking not having lubed this may be part of what caused it to come loose in the first place, so after I get this seal fixed, I want to be able to lube the long top seal.
Anyone have any suggestions or experience? I've thought of using an extendable pole with something attached to the end, onto which I can spray 303 lube but can't think of anything i can attach that would really work.

Can you open the slide part way and then reach from the inside to wipe on the lube with a rag on both sides of the seal?

Find a small push broom and staple a sponge to one end, soak sponge in 303 protectant and run the broom back and forth to coat the seal under the awning. fashion an extension for the broom handle with a pvc pipe and a belled end
