Has any one removed a side camera on a 2006 holiday rambler vacationer diesel. Is it unusual to have to remove large amts of foam to get to it. Is it attached from front or back or does the camera unscrew from the housing?(it is the curbside camera)

I have removed one of mine, and I can't believe I didn't take pictures of it To get to the camera, there are 6(ish) tiny screws in the housing - two on top, two on bottom. Once that cover is off, you will see the camera. I believe it is screwed/bolted to the house, then there is a short lead that goes inside with a grommet around the entry hole. The short lead has a connector on it that you can remove and then the entire camera will come off.

My dealer had sent me one as a replacement, but ended up not being the issue. You should be able to see everything once that outside housing is off.

It did not. The dealer was convinced it was the side camera, but I knew from the beginning it was a monitor issue. To me, it seems the most common issues are connections, then monitor, then something else, then cameras I have a spare monitor that I throw on when mine starts acting up. I have a new, updated monitor in the dash, but it still seems to be affected by heat. If I turn on the heater to the floor or vents, it will start bonking out. If I just go defrosters, it is fine.

I am going to work on isolating the problem, then try to mod something to fix it. If it is a problem with the monitor or Aladdin control module heating up, I will probably mount a cooling fan, or re-route the ducts. Not sure, but I try not to drive when I need the heater anyway

We had our Weldex monitor replaced along with (at least) the side vision cameras last November in Indiana. The new Voyager system has worked wonderfully since with no problems. I seem to remember that on of the techs stated that this was a "known" issue. I think that there was a compatibility problem with the Aladdin system and the Weldex monitor. The Voyager system is color so maybe....???
