OK, DW and I are actually in an RV park and all hooked up for the first time(newbies obviously).
So I figured out how to get the water hooked up and working just fine.
I want to fill my near empty water tank and I can turn the valve and it will fill just fine.
Here's the problem, how do I know when it is full? I don't want to flood anything.
Our coach is a 99 Monaco LaPalma 35' gas.
Thanks for the help, you guys are the greatest.

I have a different Brand MH, but it should be the same at every MH. I had 3 different ones.
Open the compartment Door (Tank is behind the door) and at the Freshwater Tank should be a visible Opening (View Wndow), there you should be able to see the water level.

Somewhere you should have a panel with guages for black, grey and fresh water. Mine is in the hall before the bedroom some are in cabinets near the entry door-----on mine a black panel about 3X4 inches you push a button and an it lights up red to green showing levels. I can't imagine a La Palma is not similarly equipt.

Yeah, i don't know where the water tank is, looked for it, can't see it.
I'll just use the gauge in the bath. It seems to be pretty accurate as long as I don't fill it all the way guess I should be ok.
Just thought maybe there was an overflow os something simple like that.
Like so many things, noo real thought to liviability by engineers...

It should have an overflow tube to relieve the pressure and to allow for expansion.

My fresh water has an overflow---but the guage is also accurate----if you have a guage it should tell you when it is full.

Open your service bay where you connect water and sewer. If you see a white plastic tank, that is the water tank.
Now the question is why do you want to fill it? If you are in a RV park connected to shore water, you do not need to fill the tank, just use the shore water. May need to turn a valve in the service bay to City Water - could also be called Local Water.
Water weighs a lot and there is no need to carry a tank full, just burns more fuel. I only carry about 25 gallons when on a trip. That takes care of boondocking a couple of nights between parks.

I just filled it about halfway. Reason to fill is trip home 2-3 days boondocking along the way. dw can't learn water conservation in her frequent flushing.
I know what the water tank looks like, just can't find any access to it, I know where it is approximately.

I see someone said "It should have an overflow" Yes, when you see "Niagra Falls" on one side or another (or possibly the rear) of the rig.. That's usually a CLUE!!!
(I do not recommend that method however, on my coach water leaks inside when that happens... Real good job they did sealing things up)
I open a compartment. on top of the water tank is a tomato stake (About a 2x2 board) if it's lying on the tank it's not full, when the tank is full the top will bulge up a bit and the end of the stake will come off the tank.. I have enough time to walk half way around the rig and turn off the water BEFORE Niagra happens. But do not waste time.

My Dutch Star has a over flow tube that runs on the ground when full. As already stated I never carry more water than I think we need as who wants to carry all the extra weight at $4 a gallon. My coach carries about 90 gallons at 8 lbs. a gallon that's a lot of weight to carry.

When I want or need a full tank of water, I fill until water comes out of the overflow tube. My tank is in the center of the Coach and has no access for viewing.

I always fill the fresh water tank until it just starts to come out the overflow. I always travel with a full water tank. I like having the 700 lbs down low. It helps the center of gravity and helps makes the coach more stable.
