HR Ambassador inoperable tail lights

The tail lights in my 2004 holiday rambler ambassador pusher will not come on. the brake lights and turn signals work. Is there a fuse and if so where is it located? I have looked in the fuse box under the drivers seat outside.

Well that is where the fuse should be so my next question would be if you have checked the bulbs.

Are they making good connection in the socket?

When you turn on the head or park lights, in addition to the taillights, you should also have the umpteen clearance lights on the sides, top front and top rear lit, plus the park lights and headlights-- are THEY all lit up?

If the brake lights turn on, that should rule out a ground problem...

As for outside fuse boxes- Our '92 Winne Brave of old had the headlights go out in the middle of the night once. I checked all the fuses (didn't know which was which), pulled each one, all looked good, put them back, still nothing. A little later and more frustrated, I decided to start switching fuses. That's when I found the bad fuse. It looked fine, wasn't blown, but regardless, it didn't have any continuity.

I've also had outdoor fuses with just enough corrosion on the contacts to cause problems...

My tow dolly recently developed a dead short in the tail lights and blew the fuse on the motorhome. I know my 05 is different from your 04 in engine and chassis and not sure about the wiring but they are probably similar. In the electrical compartment on mine there is a large fuse panel up high and two smaller ones labled Monaco 1 and Monaco 2 beneath it. Remove the lid for the one on the right, I can't remember whether it is 1 or 2 so you may have to look in both of them. There should be a fuse for marker lights. This is your tail light fuse. I think it is a 20 amp mini fuse.

Mine was blown and the tail and side marker lights would not work. Not sure why Monaco didn't just lablel the fuse tail lights.
