HWH warning light and dropping out of Travel mode while driving

While driving today, my dash warning light "HWH Warning" came on. I looked at the HWH leveling panel and noticed the "Travel Mode" was off.

I pressed the Travel button and the green light came on and the dash warning light went off.

About 10 minutes later the dash warning light was back on and the green Travel light was off again. So I pressed the Travel button again and the green light came on and the dash warning light went off.

This repeated every 5 or 10 minutes for the entire drive.
What is going on?

I don't know if it will help, but the first thing I would try would be resetting the HWH system. If your coach is like our '06 Dynasty, there is a reset button mounted in the upper, aft corner of the front run box. It is labeled HWH Master Warning Light and Reset Switch. It might be good to pull over and try it as soon as you can after it goes out of the travel mode you are experiencing. I do doubt if you are at risk of having the suspension come down quickly when that is happening, but it's not impossible, so I would definitely keep at it until you find the root cause and stop it from happening more.

Oh. I'd suspect a jack is bouncing down a little from the stowed position. That would indicate either weak return springs on the jack, debris retarding the jack, or the jack cylinder not compreeing all the way down. Or even the sense switch.

When the dash warning light comes back on, take a broomstick and go around and try pushing the jacks up one by one checking the dash light each time to find the problem child. Usually it's just a slight bit frome properly stowed position.

Thanks for the advise.
@Mike, I have the RVA (3-point) hydraulic leveling jacks and the HWH Air Leveling, are these two systems communicating with each other, or did you think the hydraulic and air levelers were both HWH?

I have a knee jerk reaction when I see HWH and immediately think of the physical jacks. I forget or had missed that they make air leveling as well.

I agree with Jim. First I hit the reset button, then if that doesn't work I turn the ignition off for 10 seconds and then back on.

HWH is very responsive when you send parts in for repair. I sent my leveling panel in and they rebuilt it and had it back in a few days. Next up I need to figure out why it will not auto level.

I'll try the HWH reset. I can do that before I leave the campsite tomorrow.

Once I'm driving, if the travel light goes out and HWH warning come on, I can't get to the reset switch unless I pull over somewhere. But hitting the Travel Mode button does seem to have some effect, and that is easier and probably safer than pulling over on I-95.

I will also call HWH when I get home and see if they have any ideas on what to test/do.

Thanks

The default mode is travel so I would not worry while traveling. That is the failsafe mode. That is the mode if you pull the fuses on the HWH. Call HWH as you already mentioned. I have a lot of exparience with HWH air leveling. Feel free to PM me. Us CAT owners need to stick together

Thanks.
I sent him a PM and e-mail. I hate to "call" someone for help and interrupt them - that will be my last resort.

If he didn't want you to call him, he would not have posted his phone number

veraken I agree with you. They used to call it snail mail now it is called email. The man may not have time to email which is why he said "call me" so he could address the problem and ask questions WAY quicker.

Same problem

Mike!
I am having the same problem with the HWH air leveling on my '06 Beaver Monterey. It drops out of Travel mode while going down the road. Did you resolve the issue with yours?
Thanks.
