Hydraulic fan motor

I have a beaver patriot thunder 2006 with a 525 cat. I recently had my radiator and hydraulic cooler serviced. When the mechanic hooked the fan back up he wasn’t sure if it was supposed to blow out or in. He got the hydraulic lines mixed up. He called an RV dealer and they told him it should blow in it seems wrong to me and sounds different.

I'm sure your coach has a side radiator
as does my Monaco Windsor .
On my coach the air is drawn in from the outside and flows in towards the engine .
This way it brings in cleaner cooler air
to flow over the radiator etc .
Can't explain why it would sound different .

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I'm not an expert on this but what Ray said sounds logical to me!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Rear rad fans push the air out from the motor. Side rad fans are suction and draw the air from outside into the engine compartment. I have never seen any ones different than that.

Mine with a wax valve installed sucks air from the outside in, cooler air.

OK thanks for the reply. The reason I questioned it was because another source said it should blowout. Probably sounds different because it’s clean.
