I have a 2000 350 ISC and my hydraulic filter is Nelson 84101b. I recently changed my filters, and found 3 are required. I found them at Ryder Fleet online for approximately $10 each. Changing the filters requires taking the top of the hydraulic reservoir and pumping out the fluid (mine was AW46) to below the filters. It took nearly 5 gallons of AW46 to fill the reservoir back to normal.

I have the 2002 Diplomat 330HP ISC. It has the smaller Nelson Cannister p/n=910048A. The filter element in mine is a single filter p/n=83213D 10 micron element. Did the same as oldtymer except only needed 1 gal. of new fluid to refill. Used a hand pump to remove old fluid.

Hi,
Instead of pumping out the fluid reach in with a coat hanger bent on the end and fish them out. Takes about a quart to bring up to level after the new ones are in.

I guess that'd be fine if you wanted to leave the old dirty fluid in the tank????

Hi,
I change my filters every year, don't think I need to change fluid every time. Monaco specs are every two years for filters and fluid. How often are you changing yours?

Fluid should not be dirty unless you have had a failure, that is why we change the filters. The hyd fluid is only used to run the Hyd fan motor and power steering I dont think 100.000 miles would hurt it.
