Hi, I have been trying to locate the Hydraulic Reservoir Filters and Gasket for my 2001 Dynasty. The Filters are 84101B (3 are needed) and the Gasket a double bezel # 999-55A. I have located the gasket and the Filters from separate locations which would require Minimum shipping of $25 I would have to buy 6 Gaskets since they are $4.06 each. The simple solution would be to buy the Filters and the Gaskets from the same location. Unfortunately the one location where I have found the Filter (Fleet Services) does not carry the Gasket. Additionally the one location where I have found the gasket does not carry the Filters.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Robert

When I replaced mine I didn't need a gasket. Are you sure you need one?

Was the gasket leaking? If not reuse it.

I am trying to get the items together before I actually drain and replace. From what I have read the gasket should be replaced each time and that is every year or so. I don't know if these filters have ever been replaced in the, gasket might be 9 years old. Since this Gasket is rubber it is prone to deterioration. I would hate to have the old one fall apart when I remove it.
My MH resides in a Storage Facility where I cannot do any service, I must bring it to my home where it cannot remain overnight. I must anticipate what I will need before I start. Oil and stuff like that I can purchase locally obscure items cannot be found near me so I must locate the items before hand.
Thanks for the suggestion under other circumstances I would do that. I am sure many members have the same problem.
Robert

Barrier2 -- Do you know for sure what fluid is used -- I have a 07 Camelot, & the service manuel calls for Dextron transmission fluid, but the system has AW-46 hydraulic fluid -- I`ve heard that some used 15/40 motor oil -- I purchased a hand held transfer pump from Harbor Freight for about $10.00 , & pumped just the fluid in the reservoir out into a 5 gallon bucket that I purchased fron Home Depot, about 3 gallons, & used the pump for the new fluid -- Wasn`t messy that way -- Took about 30 minutes -- I did replace the gasket - The old one looked good, but it was less than 3 years old -- Not a big job-- Bill Willard

Hi Willard, Thanks for the response. I don't know what fluid as yet. I assumed I would be able to check when I get closer. My Manual specifies Dexron III, but I will check anyway.
Where were you able to get the Gasket and Filters from?
I do like your idea of the pump and bucket, I will go that route.

I would bet your fluid will be AW46 it should be light yellow almost clear, Dexron as you know is red and the engine oil should be easy to tell, my tank has a dip stick so I knew before hand that I had AW46, you will need a couple qts to refill after the filter change and good luck finding anything in AW46 under 5 gal, just use a coat hanger to remove the filters no bleed or drain the tank. I didnt have to replace the O ring on my unit, just be careful when removing the top.

There's a large black tank just inside the engine compartment on the right side as your standing looking at the engine from the back. Is this the Hydraulic Tank you are referring to?

If so where are the filters?

The filters are inside the tank. Remove the band around the top and remove the cover they are inside.

So I tried to buy the three Filters for the Hydraulic system #NEL 84101B from an outfit in Florida named Fleet Services. They are charging $29.58 for the three, plus $7.95 USPS Shipping, plus NY Sales Tax $3.24 (they are in Florida what is the chance that they pay it to NY?).
When I went to check out they added a Surcharge of $2.85???
This is after I called three times about the Gasket, I was asked to leave my number> I am still waiting for the Call Back.
I am now a bit leery about buying from them.
Does anyone have another source? I tried H&S in Lodi Wisc, no luck.
This is nuts! How many of you have replaced this Filter? Where did you get it?
thanks
Robert
