Hydraulic levelers as opposed to Air Bag Leveling
I'm considering a 2013 Monaco Knight and it has air bag leveling only. No hydraulic levelers. Any pointers?

I love the air level system....nothing to sink into the ground and very stable. Most of the high level coaches have air level.

My 01 Diplomat only came with hydraulic levelers.
So what did I do - I added an HWH air leveling system two years ago and love it. Haven't used the jacks since.

We recently ordered a Diplomat 43dft, and ordered it with both Hyraulic and air, that said I bet we use air 90+% of the time.

What was involved in adding air leveling? I was told by my shop (which I generally trust as they've done great work) that HWH wouldn't sell them the parts, that you have to take the coach to them and they will do this install (forget the location, but it was somewhere in the Midwest).

The system Walt has in the classified is the exact same one I installed myself - an HWH 2000 series. Great system. I don't know if HWH will sell the system direct but I doubt it. I have heard reports that they charge around $5500 installed at their facility. You only need about $100 in material in addition to the kit Walt has for sale. GREAT DEAL for someone.
Attached is the write-up I did on the installation. If you have good mechanical skills, you can easily install this system.

We love the air leveling on our Windsor! I really like the feature of being able to dump all the air so the step is close to the ground! As others have said, it's nice not to worry about how soft the ground is below the coach and not having to put blocks under the hydraulic jacks.
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

I had no idea you could add a HWH to older MH. where is the classified section? I would love to have it added on.
Thanks

Cruisn Bob,
Our 2012 Knight has the air leveling system. When we bought it we were concerned that it would not be stable and would rock around like out last MH that was on a Freightliner chassis did. The 8 bag Roadmaster chassis is very stable with so it's not an issue.

06 Monaco Ex with air bags BUT it would be nice to have a jack system to just put the feet down to keep the coach from rocking when the wind is blowing hard.
