Panels finished

Just to update this old thread - I finished my dash panel refresh project.
I had seven panels Hydro-Dipped (for $300). The hardest part was removing all the gauges and switches. I made a few modifications and some repairs while the panels were out.

I'm very happy with the finished product - well worth the time and cost, IMO. I still have a few details to attend to - and I have yet to install the driver's side panel, but I should have everything finished up this week.

CountryB looks great very reasonable, lots of labor I’m sure. You used existing panels?

Not bad for 7 dash pieces, in the Burlwood I posted above.

So which would be better looking on a dashboard "Semi-gloss" or "Gloss"?

I've been trying to see if I can determine what the car manufacturers use (like Lexus) on their dash and door panels, but I have not been able to find out.
100% Gloss. I have a BMX X5 with a burlwood gloss dash.....Smokin!

That looks fabulous! I love the Beaver cabinets as well. I think they made the finest RV cabinets I've ever seen, even better than Newell or Foretravel.

Did you buy the tool for the ignition switch?

Wow! That dash looks amazing. I need to put that on my list of future upgrades. I would say that modification was well worth the the time and expense. Your dash looks like a million bucks!

Would you care to expand on what method you used to "repair" the panels?
