I was wondering anyone that might know about the condition of I-205 in Oregon going around Portland. My husband is headed down to Harrisburg this Monday and we used to take 205 to go around Portland, but last time it almost shook our coach apart because of the road conditions. Does anyone know whether the road from I-5 onto 205 has been paved finally? Since I will not be with him, he would rather not go through Portland.

The rebuilding/repaving/improvement of I-205 is basically done. They have widened the 3 miles closest to I-5 and repaved the next 5 in addition to either renovating, widening, or replacing all the bridges. They're just doing landscaping work now to clean up the mess they made during construction.

Thanks for the information, I guess he will be safe taking 205 instead of I-5 through Portland.

You will have no problems on I-205. It is a good road and the best way to avoid downtown Portland. There is some construction on the south end before you get back to I-5 but it is fine.
