After travleing and living in our Cheetah for almost a year and a half and leaving all the driving duties to AKBrick, today I finally bit the bullet and got in the driver's seat. I drove from one rest area to another (about 60 miles) down I-8 between Casa Grande and Yuma, AZ. It took me awhile to get the feel of things, but I was feeling pretty relaxed by the time we pulled into the rest area to switch places.

I'll still leave the city driving to DH for now, but at least I know I can comfortably spell him on the highway stretches if need be. And maybe as time goes by, I'll get brave enough to stay behind the wheel in small towns and someday even graduate to driving in the big city. Or, maybe not.

AK,
I have yet to do what you have done. This summer I will take my place in the suicide seat and let Carol drive the Beaver . My hat is off to you and to CG for doing this. Congrats to both of you!

Congratulations!! The day we brought ours home, I got my bride behind the wheel for a short ride. On our second trip she drove with the toad attached for about 100 miles on the interstate. She prefers not to, but now we both know that she can if she needs to.

Thanks for all the pats on the back. I drove the MH again today for about an hour along a stretch of I-10 in Texas. I felt pretty comfortable after only a few minutes. This time I was relaxed enough to actually look at a few guages while I was driving. I even chaged lanes to pass a car. So I'm getting there.

CheetahGirl,
As I said in my email to you, I had no doubt you could drive the moho. You're not the kind of woman to pass up doing something new - and exciting!

So you're headed east from AZ and in a few weeks we'll be heading north from AZ. You all have been forewarned.
