I just want you all to know that I finally solved a problem on my Sig, by myself.
I'm in the Keys and moved from Bahia Honda to Curry Hammock, when I discovered that my steps had not come in during my drive. I suspected a blown fuse and looked and looked for the fuse. I finally found a chart the said the Step fuse was a "hidden fuse", located in the ps arm rest. Well I'm not a complete idiot, so I assumed it wasn't talking about the co-pilot chair arm rest that is enclosed in leather. After a bit of work, I was able to remove the cup holder and little compartment on the armrest built on the wall. There is a small 2 x 2 black box that says fuse on it but it's way down inside that opening with not enough wire on it to pull it up so that I can open it. I figured I was going to have to wait until I get to Lazy Days to get it fixed. But then I decided to raise the front end and look at my electrical connections on the step to see if anything had been pulled loose.
There are 2 locking plugs under there but both appeared to be connected just fine. I took both of them apart and reseated them and lo and behold it was just a dirty connection. Steps are working just fine now. Wish I could find all my other little electrical problems before having to have Lazy Days work on it.
I love it when a plan comes together!

Congratulations Bill: I enjoyed hearing about your troubleshooting steps. Nice to see how a mind works.

Good on you Bill. When working on aircraft there are a lot of electrical problems that are fixed by just taking it and putting it back in. I hope the cold weather is staying away from you down there because you can't get any further south.

You should feel guilty because it snowed up here in Atlanta again the other day.

You may want to put some dielectric grease on those connections.
Good for you in solving your problem
