The rooftop AC/Heatpumps can expell the condensate thru draintubes to the underside of the coach in AC mode, but has to spill it out onto the rooftop, in Heatpump mode ?
Anyone?

It is probably because in the cooling mode the evaporator has a drain pan with the drain tubes attached. when you are in the Heat pump mode the condenser becomes the evaporator and when it needs defrosting the defrosting process melts the accumulating frost on the condenser/turned evaporator which allows the water to run on the roof. no where else for it to go
