2004 dynasty with 1200 LRIM 4 door fridge, ice maker leaks at left side results in large icicle in freezer. I have replaced the solonoid valve thinking maybe overfill but no such luck. Can the icemaker be removed without taking fridge out and apart. Has anyone had same issue and how did you resolve it.

First our you level?
Check inside edges of the white cup were the water come into the icemaker, some times ice will built up on the inside, causing the water to over spill.

Pictures of the ice forming would be helpful.

Fill cycle is by time and there is a adjustment under the cover. If you feel that a adjustment is needed only turn screw 1/2 turn in 24hours, if you need to go more then 2 turns the motor inside may be running slow.

I just had to replace mine for the exact same problem. Very easy to replace. I got mine from National RV Refrigeration in Shipshewana, IN for a very friendly price. Call Leon at 260-768-7059

Rich, you may just have solved my ice maker problem. We have a new coach but it set for quite a while before we bought it. When we first ran the ice maker it overflowed. I adjusted the fill level to the lowest possible level and it still overflowed. I kept scratching my head to try to figure out how this could be happening. The ice maker has now been used quite a bit now and it has stopped overflowing tray but still is set at the lowest level. I think it takes an unusually long time for the motor to rotate the fingers that eject the ice cubes and now with your post it is clear that the speed it turns will effect the amount of water allowed to fill the cube tray. Sooooo - if mine is turning too slowly is there a way short of replacement to fix???

Arby, thanks for the info. Did you replace the icemaker yourself or did you have to have someone do it? Can it be done from inside the freezer?

It is very easy to replace from inside the freezer. It is hanging on two screws in a key hole slot. Remove them and pull the unit out. There are also two screws holding a plate on the bottom that will have to be removed to see the wiring harness. Wiring harness will unplug. 15 minute job. Probably have to defrost first to even see the screws.

Just a quick note for all the posters without signatures. If the readers can't identify the make model and year of your coach it is harder to give correct answers. It is easy to add a signature, go to User CP look down the left hand column and you should see "Edit Signature" just click on that then enter a signature you can look at other post for examples. Now when you make a post you can just make sure the box Show your signature is check.

LEW,
Cost of the replacement motor is almost 80% of a new icemaker. Best to just replace ice maker.
It may come around and work corretly now that it's being used.
Keep your eye on it for a while.

Question: Have you tried to adjust the water level with the fill adjustment?

Motor homes are normally factory set for 45-50 PSI, if, like many, you hook directly up to say 80 PSI of city water, since the filling of the ice tray is not a float or sensor controlled action, it's a CLOCK controleld action (Valve open for xx seconds) you may need to turn down the timer a bit.

With your right hand grip the right edge of the white front of the icemaker and pull toward you.. Being it will be a screw, lateral mount (Sideways) with +/- arrows next to it.. Make it more MINUS and see if this helps.

and/or.. Use a good (not a standard but either a high volume or a Watts) pressure regulator to keep the pressure honest.
