I drove east on I-10 from New Orleans today,The sun Heated up the front of the coach enough to need the A C .I noticed that the air was no colder than the outside temp (just my guess).I was wondering if the cooler outside temp would make the AC not cool properly? And if repairs are needed do you go to a Monoco dealer (a couple of hours away) Or a good chassis shop, just down the street. Thanks Tommy

Any good A/C repair shop should be able to repair it.

Just had my dash air repaired on my 01 40' Dynasty....bill was about $1100 ....they told me at the shop it is a fairly common repair on diesel pushers, as the compressor is undersized and in the rear where it has to push the air to the front dash. Monaco wanted over $500 for the compressor, and the repair shop found an aftermarket for over $100 cheaper....works great now!

we've had a small leak somewhere in our system since new and cannot find it. thats the bad news. the good news is that a small shot of freon one in 03 and one last spring cured the problem. i know it isn't a perm fix but it works for us! jim

As you know the a/c system is supposed to be a sealed system...sooooo, what needs to be done is a dye test to find the leak.....just hope it's a hose and not the seal on the compressor!!!!

I took the coach to A-1 Diesel in Fort Walton Beach Fl., they said it has no Freon ( or whatever the new coolant is) and they would look for leaks tomorrow. I am glad I bought the extended warranty.
