Wow, the more I see the pain in the neck stories in here, the more I think I'm just going to pull the trigger on the wireless unit!

I was going to ask the same question?

Well, I ordered the wireless unit through Amazon for $308, I received guaranteed 2day shipping, since we are leaving this Saturday I didn't want to take any chances with a late delivery. And quite frankly, I didn't have the time this week to troubleshoot and possibly having to run new wires and such so the wireless option eliminated that stress.
I'll give my review of the item upon my return!

Boatdoctor,
I looked at this wireless product wondered where it got the power to operate the trailer brakes, looked at the installation instructions and found out. Have you checked your trailer lighting plug to see if it has the required "charge" wire active and it can supply 20amps?

Unfortunately, I wont be able to provide my review of this item due to having issues with locating the source of my problematic brake light. I'm guessing that is required to sync up the remote/transponder.
If any Monaco owners have the scoop with the brake light fuse location, or relay or brake switch location it'd sure make my life easier.

What specific problems are you having with your brake light?
Blown light bulb or what?
I can't help you with the fuse or relay location as it is most likely different than mine as our coaches are not the same.
However, if you go back and re-read posts made my REX, he has described where you can find the Brake Light Signal that is in your Front Run Bay (FRB). However, it is a negative signal wire and will require a relay to turn it into a positive signal.

Thanks for the reply Dr4film!
I don't have any brake lights with pressing the brake pedal, not 100% certain if they ever worked since I purchased the coach or if it just happened when trying to plug in my tow dolly. What I do know now is that I get no brake lights when I hit the brakes, everything else seems to work as it should with or without the tow dolly plugged in, ie...hazards, turn signals, etc...
So I couldn't sync up the remote controller unit with the trailer main unit that attaches to the trailer. I didn't have the time to hard wire a brake controller since I was leaving for my trip less than a week away. But then discovered the brake light issue the night before when I tried syncing the wireless unit up.

Just a thought about your brake lights, have you tried them with the engine running and the air pressure up? If the brake light switch is operated by air pressure then the system would need to be pressurized for it to work...

Hey, thanks for all the suggestions gentlemen!
After a more thorough look today I finally found the brake fuse and it was blown!
Rather than describe it, I'm posting a pic below for a visual aid for anyone in the future that may need it, in a nutshell, the fuse was NOT in the fuse block but instead in a plug like contraption that held 2 other fuses as well, 3 in total and believe all to be tow related (Brake/Hazard/???? don't remember).
Hope this helps!
