Intellitec Video Switch Part # 00-01023-000

I have learned that the video switch, 4 Input - 2 Output Part # 00-01023-000, is now obsolete and Intellitec no longer services these units. I have been in touch with M&M Electronics and they will be happy to replace the plugs used by Intellitec and install another switch.....only trouble is that one has to drive the unit to their shop in Central Florida.... I have contacted a number of salvage yards in hopes that they might have one of these units but no luck there either.....

Any suggestions? Thanks

What is the make/model/year of your coach.

Have you tried to contact Visione in KY, a very large salvage yard.

Yes sir, they have a location in Ohio but the guys go to Florida for the winter and I have talked with them....unfortunately, they do not repair the 01023 unit.....instead, they need the coach there at their shop and they replace the 6-pin plugs used on the old switch and install a completely new/different type of switch..... The guys at M&M are very helpful and excellent to work with....

Thanks for the suggestion.

Yep, the fellow had already sold it and he suggested that I contact M&M Electronics....and I did only to find that they do not repair the 01023 unit....as they need the coach there in their shop so they can replace the 6-pin plugs and install a completely new video switch....

Thanks for the response.

Do you still need a video controller? I know where there are 18 in stock. 00-01073-000 is same controller but newer version. still not much better quality.
Monaco Rv in Colburg Oregon has them in stock yet.

I have been in touch with Monaco and looking at the part # 00-01073-000 it appears to be nearly identical to the 00-01023-000 video controller. However, the size of the printed circuit board is different. The lady at Monaco was surprised that their system did not specify the 1073 as a replacement for the 1023 controller....so, she has written to Intellitec to determine if the 1073 is a good replacement for the 1023 and if not what are the differences....

Will post the results of what the lady at Monaco finds and reports back to me.

Thanks for the tip.

I called intellitec direct and they told me its the same controller, just newer model. The guy was helpful and said they quit making the controller because they were junk. I like an honest guy like that. But I have put in 3 already and will have to find something better. If you unplug the power to controller for a day or so, then plug it back in, it comes on again, maybe back on for 5 mins, sometimes all week

Intellitec 4-Input 2-Output Video Switch

Just a note to let you know that your advice is ABSOLUTELY correct in that the 1073 switch is a direct replacement for the 1023 unit that was discontinued. Bad news is that Intellitec has now discontinued the 1073 switch as well. I spoke with Mark Bayus ( with M&M RV Electronics and I understand that they provide technical support for the Intellitec products) and he confirmed that the 1073 unit is a direct replacement....if I can find one.

Fortunately, thanks to your note I contacted REV Parts and they still have some 30+ of these 1073 switches in stock and will be sending me one to keep as a spare for when my current 1023 unit quits working.

Thanks again for the tip.....gary
