I have a 2007 Monaco Knight. My interior monitor panel is acting strange in that all the LEDs are lit when I hold in the "Tank Test" switch. This occurred after I was having a problem with my remote inverter display. The inverter display went completely dark and I had no indication that my inverter/charger was working. I used my digital multimeter to check my batteries which read 13.3 and I could hear my inverter was functioning correctly.
I had turned off, and then turned on, the outside battery switches which had no effect but I discovered that when I removed and replaced the RJ11 jack on the back of the inverter that the remote inverter display began to work again.
However, from that moment on, my interior tank panel lights remain completely lit when I press the Tank Test switch including the battery status lights. I did remove the KIB cover panel to see if I had any obvious problems such as a wire touching or anything burned. Everything looks OK. My outside tank monitor panel in my wet bay reads just fine. Any suggestions on what's causing the problem or a solution. Thanks

Dave......Pulling the RJ11 jack out and waiting a few seconds has always been a fix for panel issues with the Magnum Inverter. Basically a reboot. You might try the same thing with the tank monitor. Unplug the power to it and see what happens. You should have a second panel in the utillity bay.....is it doing the same thing?

Do you only have one switch for the viewing or do they have seperate for each function. If only one and the one in the bay is working see if it works up top. if so you have a bad board inside.

Don, Monitor in wet bay is working correctly. I did disconnect the coach from shore power and turned off the battery (coach) switch. Would that not do the same thing as unplugging power to the inside monitor panel?

chiefdave....Most likely, turning off the power at the coach switch would do it, but you would be surprised at what is still being fed from the chassis batteries. If you're outside unit is working, I would remove the interior one and check the back side for any burning or the odor of an electrical burn.

Nothing burned. I unplugged the monitor outside as suggested by Monaco tech support. No change. Also unplugged circuit connection in rear of KIB master panel and reconnected. No change. Thinking I have an opened ground soemwhere. Probably should drive the coach 20 miles and come back. Usually the shaking, road conditions. etc have a way of breaking and fixing things. No leaving Yuma till first of April.

Finally had a chance to remove the circuit board from the wet bay and try it inside. Work great, so I now know that I have a bad circuit board on the panel. Contacted KIB Enterprises and ordered a new board. Price was $23.00 plus shipping. Thanks to all for your thoughts and suggestions.

$23? Wow and congrats. That's got to be the cheapest motorhome electrical part I ever heard of!!!
