An electric kettle and a toaster, (or any 2 appliances that draw a total of more than 15AMPs), when plugged into any 2 of those 12 receptacles and turned on, will trip that 15AMP breaker.
Common sense energy management is the key to preventing that.

Your right common sense is great once you understand the process. For the lay person not familiar with electronics it would seem probable that when hooked up to 50 amp service you should be able to run toaster and kettle. Now where in the manual does it state that most off your plug ins run threw your inverter when it is turned off while on shore power. Now that this is known to be the case you are right "common sense" will prevail!

LOL! I like to fall asleep with the BR TV on. When I'm starting to drift off, I have enough energy to turn off the TV, but the last thing I want to do is get up and turn off the inverter (although I'd like to do that to save battery power.)

Do you have a Magnum Energy inverter? If so, have you seen this: Remote Switch Adapter ME-RSA-M

I'm going to get one, and run it to a pushbutton switch mounted by the bedside. A simple push of the button will toggle the inverter on or off without having to get out of bed. (And I won't have to hit the TV remote first: hitting the one button to turn off the inverter will by definition turn off the TV!)
