Is it difficult to install shocks on auto leveling Windsor?
Just bought a 2005 40' Windsor that has original Monroe shocks. If I buy Bilsteins on line, are there any particular problems having a handyman install them?
Thanks, Jim

Jim,
Did mine on our 05 Windsor. Wear gloves because you are going to nick a knuckle or two. On the fronts remember to turn your wheels right then left to give better access to the shocks. Took me a little less than a day, but would not do them again at my age(70) Enjoyed the results as it helped both ride and steering. Remember to order pin mount at the top as the Windsor in 05 took that configuration. At least ours did.

Don't trust the manual air raise feature of the air levelers levelers. I use big 20 ton stands under the h frame anytime I'm under the coach as a backup.
You are on the right track with Bilsteins just be sure you get the proper ones. Some online sources may not know what you need. The Monroes are known to go bad after as little as 30K miles. You might check source engineering as they have specially valved shocks (Bilsteins I think) especially for Monacos that have had good reports. I have not tried them.
