Is it possible to fit a Samsung RF18 in through the front door
Is it possible to fit a Samsung RF18 in through the front door of a 2004 Signature? If we remove the refrigerator doors, remove the lower freezer drawer, tie the motor home door back, remove the entry grab handle, and slide the passenger seat all the way back, can we get the RF18 through the front door?
I converted the Windsor from a Norcold to a Frigidare (best thing we ever did), but it was a smaller 2 door and the RF18 is a larger 4 door model. The Frigidare just barely fit through the motor home front door with the refrigerator doors removed. Both the Frigidare and the Samsung RF18 are "counter depth" so maybe they are nearly the same depth. I suspect the issue is the motor home front door tapers near the top.
Our Norcold 1200 has the red light on the recall box and it will not reset. It operated for 2 hours after we left the dealership! I think a permanent fix is a residential refrigerator.
I also have a drivers side window that is fogged and needs repair. I thought maybe we could remove it to repair and fit the RF18 in through the window opening, but we need a refrigerator asap and I'm not sure how to get that huge window out.
Thanks for your replies.

I got a Samsung through the door of my 2008 Camelot last week. Removed the inside grab handle, passenger seat, un hooked the coach door-stop from the door frame and got the Samsung in with no trouble. I did remove the fridge doors, and taped the freezer drawer slides too.
Good luck !

Buy it from someplace that includes inside delivery. I think some folks have bought from Home Depot. While they won't dismantle the coach for clearance I think they will remove the doors from the refrigerator, and of course the man handling to lift it in.

Just went out and measured my door. It is 25 1/2" wide. 25 1/4" at the door strike, and it is easily removed...

Is it possible to fit a Samsung RF18 in through the front door
'There were 3 of us to get the fridge into the coach. It's not that heavy, but very awkward and hard to see around. Had 2 on the bottom lifting and I was in the coach pulling and directing. Wasn't that hard and only took a couple of minutes..

Thank you all very much.
Home Depot has the Samsung RF18 on sale for $998 with free delivery. Ours will be delivered Thursday.
Did any of you buy the water line hook up kit?

I also got mine from the depot. Best price I could find. I didn't buy the water line hook up kit. Haven't decided weather we will use the nice maker or not. I did buy a 5 year extended warranty. Thought with the RV application it might be a good idea. If my normal luck holds, the fridge will quit about a month out of warranty.....:-)

If you really want to know make a frame of 1 x 1 lumber that imitates the size of the RF18 and see if you can get it thru the door. Make it to imitate the RF18 with the doors off. When we did our coach we removed the passenger seat and the grab bar. Took the door keeper off and swung the door as far open as it would go and tied it down.

My neighbor having his delivered.
Please take lots of pictures. I want to change mine out when the Dometic dies. It is a great refer but the ice maker is just a pain.
Some how I will find one with ice in the door just as the Dometic has. My refer is in a slide and many have used the RF18.
Thanks for the tip on the sale.

I'm guessing your Dometic 1402 went out the door as well?

I had home Depot bring ours in the coach, as stated before remove the door prop holder on the coach tie it back to the mirror, also cover the face of the dash with cardboard, and do the same to the interior entry door area, HD in our case didn't want to bring it in the coach, I told the 2 delivery guys fine I have a neighbor that said for $50 he would get it inside, the delivery guys said they would after I waved the $50 bill, they took off the doors and reinstalled them, as a side note, you will really like the new refer

I unbolted the passenger seat and laid it back on the floor. There were only four 5/8" head bolts, but the right rear was tough to access. The door retainer strap was help in place by four phillips head screws. I also removed the grab handle. It had four screws on each end and a wire. I just taped the end with the wire up out of the way.
The refrigerator should be here this morning.

The Dometic is about 26 1/2" at the back bottom without the doors. Had to take out a side window, not that hard to do.
