Isl oil filter

Just received a new oil filter for my Cummins ISL engine(Fleetguard LF9009). The new filter has no rubber gasket or any mating part made of any thing but metal. Am I missing a O-ring or gasket?

Yes...there should be a rubber gasket.

That filter should use a square cut seal as seen here
