We're very excited and should be picking it up in 6 - 8 weeks, same as JANFZ!
Now we have questions. We too will need to know about extended warrantee, so we'll be watching JANFZ's responses.
We're most interested at this point in knowing abut insuring it. We want to be sure that it is adequately covered and we live in Massachusetts, (and many insurance companies don't write policies here). Does anyone have any recommendations.
I'm sure we'll have more questins as time goes on...

I recently switched to Twin Peaks Insurance, you might want to request a quote from them. They specialize in insuring RV's.

We switched from State Farm insurance to Progressive Insurance. They had a rep at the FMCA ralley in Indio, CA. in January. They have rv specialists that get together and brainstorm about anything and everything that can go wrong with rvs. They even think of the fulltimers and also thier cars and other assets. The price was a little steeper but they covered waaaaaaaay more than State Farm did. Even all of the stuff inside the coach.
Good luck,
AKBrick
Oh yeah, sorry, I wasn't talking about extended warrenties.

Steven, welcome to iRV2.
I suggest FARM & CITY, a broker who deals with several companies.
Insurance is such a personal thing, with rates depending on your location, driving record, age, credit score, etc., that it's impossible to find one company that's best for everyone.
Shopping around does indeed save you money.

National Interstate Insurance gave me the best deal beating out everyone else.

steven cavazzi....To heck with insurance...Welcome to iRV2 and the "Monaco Forum"!!! As you can see...the folks here will give you all sorts of info...all you have to do is ask!
I sure would like to fling some of that magical "Monaco Karma Pixie Dust" your way... pretty please?!!
ok... back to insurance.... I get a discount as a dealership employee through GMAC Insurance ...but Sacs told me that Monaco has now sent something out showing they offer insurance (through the National General-GMAC Insurance)
Again..welcome to iRV2 & hopefully the Monaco Board

Steven,
Congrats on your new coach. We also live in Mass and know the difficulty in getting insurance. We have had Liberty Mutual for years and have always had good luck.
Good luck with your search,
Shaun and Amy

Congrats on your new coach !! I switched from State Farm to Progressive insurance and saved quite a lot of money on premiums. I just had a chip on the windshield repaired today. I called Progressive on Monday and they set up an appointment for the repair.....absolutely painless and no cost to me.

We had Progressive, but changed to another agent, still with Progressive. Jack, the agent from AON Recreation Insurance, (I believe his wife's name is Doreen) is usually at the FMCA rallies and totally understands RV insurance. He has been a full-timer for years and explained why we did not need FT coverage, while the original agent said we should carry it. He asked all the right questions that our original agent did not ask, and saved us hundreds of dollars. And he did not skimp on coverage limits. He really made us consider what we needed in order to be well covered. You should be able to reach Jack for a comparison quote at 800-521-2942. He reviews different companies and explains the differences with you, and will ask you the appropriate questions for the type of coverage you need. There is also the name Shelli Harris-Blackshear on the policy, but we worked with Jack. Sorry I don't have his last name and can't locate his card at the moment – and we have a very limited internet connection right now. Congrats on the new MH!
