If I could make one suggestion? Prior to the cap/windscreen, remove old and install a domestic fridge?

The 4 door with ice maker fridge in it works. I definitely need something that will run on propane for when I go to the Oshkosh airshow each year.

You might want to jump on that $6800 cap if it's in good shape. It took me about 6 weeks to locate a front cap for my '05 Monaco Knight. $16,000 shipped from Lancaster, CA to Denver, CO.  
The shop that installed it has done quite a few. They only use the bottom 2/3 splicing the bottom to the existing top about 6 inches above the bottom of the windshield.
Note the seam in the photo. It's not supposed to do that. Apparently they got a bad batch of whatever they use to make the joint from 3M and it's happened to the last 3 or 4 coaches they have done. It's called "seaming" and can go so far as cracking.
It happened slowly over a period of about 6 weeks. They are working with 3M and have redone it with a different material recommended by 3M. I am picking it up today and will make sure I have a written guarantee they will fix it if it ever happens again.

I go every year... Have flown in many times in my Piper Pacer and even my minimax ultralight twice (3 hrs in Piper... 6 hrs in ultralight.. 8 hrs driving). Last year we pulled a 31' bumper pull camper.... wife loved it... We will likely do the same this July but next year we will be in the Monaco if we don't fly.

My coach was missing the battery disconnects when I got it and batteries were wired direct... (which is one reason the house batteries were completely dead) Just got an email that my new disconnects I ordered are waiting for me in my mailbox at home. Once these are installed again and while I have coach in my shop long term while repairing it, can I leave plugged into shore power 24/7 but with batteries disconnected to avoid having inverter constantly attempting to charge? If so, would 12 volt things inside coach still work using the inverter converter or do the batteries need to be in the circuit to run 12 volt items?
Right now my inverter hums when shore power is hooked up and my 6volt house batteries are constantly being charged... am guessing it is bad for the batteries to be cooking/charging 24/7.

'79 SC with add on tail. Also still have a nice '87 951 and my wife drives a high mileage Cayenne as her daily. Other than a couple classic cars that my wife wanted, I buy primarily German cars needing repair then drive the wheels off of them. I do ALL my own repairs other than mounting/balancing tires. lol

All personal preference, but experience shows a domestic is a far better way to go. There is a reason for a coach having a generator, don't fear using it. An RV propane fridge using an open flame cooler, well not very efficient and aircraft fuel fumes/flame, not a good mix. Most Coach manufactures offer domestic fridge option for a reason. Even boon docking with solar and a generator is simple and easy now. Having the Samsung now for 2 years, I couldn't imagine going back to an RV fridge.

Where I camp with friends at the Annual Oshkosh flyin, I can't run a generator at night... Propane fridge seems like a must in this situation.
