Any recommendations on a adhesive/putty that can be used on Corian countertops to affix kitchen or personal and decorative items to countertops. We have several items that we wold like to not have to put away while on the road. I have thought of plumbers putty, but wonder about staining the Corian.

The adhesive needs to be fully removable and non staining. I know that the dealers use such a removable adhesive, I have seen coaches all set up at LazyDays and commented on it, but don't remember what was used. I haven't found anything at in my limited search so wondered if anyone here is familiar and can recommend a product ?

Thanks

Richard,

Don't know the answer but sounds like a question for an RV dealer who does a lot of shows. If you purchased your coach from Lazydays you might try asking them.

Museum Wax works good for items you never want to move. For things that you want to leave on the counter but want to easily move around try using the Non-Adhesive shelf liner cut to just fit under the object. Some is made by Duck.

We use a "hot melt" glue gun. The old glue is rubbery and rolls off - no stains. Works well on formica also.

We use Handi-Tak. Get it at Bed Bath & Beyond.

Handi-Tak Adhesive - Bed Bath & Beyond

We also use SecureHold. We get it at Camping World. DW likes it best.

Museum putty, earth quake putty, quake hold are all great. I've been using quake hold for over three years and never had anything come loose, and items can easely be removed for cleaning, then just reuse the putty...Bruce

We use a flexible mating that is designed to go between plates. We put it
under our coffee pot and toaster. I don't remember the brand name, but, it is readily available at CW and Wal-Mart.

Not sure what items you want to hold down, but we have many items that aren't "stuck down" and stay on the counters with no problem. Two appliances are a large coffee grinder and also the coffee maker, two things we can't live without. We have lots and lots of of smaller items also. We do have candle holders, one glass, one ceramic, that we have fastened down with museum putty. In 4 1/2 years of being on the move fulltiming we have yet to have anything other than an occasional plastic water bottle we inadvertently left on the counter come off. As always, if your way of driving and where you drive vary, then your results may vary.

We use StikaRounds by Dap, bought at Lowes. They come in a box of 200, on a roll of wax paper. They are easy to use and they work, trust me I've had some hard braking and nothing has moved with these mounted under them. Also non staining and clear in color.

DW was told about using "Cushion Grip". Its a Thermoplastic denture adhesive that she uses to hold flower pots, toaster and ornamental items in place. Won't stain countertops and is easily removed. Whod a thunk it?

We do the same as "adj" and just cut pieces of the rubberized shelving material to fit and then glue it to the bottom of the item you don't want moving around. I also had a wire basket type napkin holder we leave on the table that use to move around. I bought a small can of liquid electrical tape and just painted it onto the bottom of the wire frame.

We use "SecureHold". It's a reusable adhesive putty we picked up at CW. Comes on a card from GLUE WORKS. So far we've used a small 'glob' on a fairly heavy napkin holder and a small bowl that holds my Splenda packets...been through some bumpy steep grades in WVa with success. I however, wouldn't trust it hanging under a steel gurder with a glob of it attached to my hardhat!

No muss, no fuss...and best of all, it's made in the US of A! Bob

We use velcro strips. We buy a roll about ten fifteen-feet long at the Walmart or the Sam's Club and cut it to fit. So far, it seems to come off the corian without any problem and if you use enough, it holds real well.

I've got it on the computer docking station - and it holds with the notebook installed, and also on the Bose Sounddock.
