Hey guys, help me PLEASE!!!! with this one. I'm all packed up and ready to go in the morning for a nice camping get-away with several different RV-er's and I cannot get my Living Room/ Kitchen slide to move. I can hear the solenoid clicking, but no movement.
A couple of hours after packing the bus and getting things together, I thought that it would be a good idea to bump the slides, just to make sure that they are working, and I did......... both the bedroom and kitchen/living room slides moved in alittle and then I took my finger off of the switch. About an hour later, I came back and tried to suck them both in all the way, and my bedroom came in as it should but, all I can get out of my living room is a clicking noise when I first activate the switch.
I turned off all power to the bus, both 12v and 110 for about 5 minutes and then turned everything back on, but all I get is that solenoid noise like it wants to work but doesn't. Please help ............
Thanks
Don

Low batts??? Bad/loose ground on hyd pump??? The big slide pulls a lot bigger load than the BR slide. Try with gen running and charging??
Good Luck

Make sure all the bay doors are closed. If you have the slide interlock on those door, it prevents the slide from moving.

Okay, closed all bay doors, ran the engine and the generator for about 15 minutes, pulled the bus out of the garage and around the corner (Only 100 yds) shut everything down then tried the slide again. As my son was trying the slide, I was outside, I heard some clicking in front of the bus by the generator slide compartment. I told my son to slide out the generator and it won't come out either. All I hear is a clicking noise like it's a solenoid. The batteries are charged and I'm running the generator again, tried the slide again, same thing, no movement, just a clicking noise when I hit the button for the slide.
For those that are familiar with this bus, where is the hydraulic pump located. I'll try looking for loose connections like you suggested earlier.
Anyone have any other thoughts?
Thanks
Don

Humm.... There are 3 types of slide outs,, Hydraulic (Pump issue) Cable cars (these will have two cables visible if the slide is extended on the forward and rearward sides of the slide out) and rack & Pinion (These have a long bar (or two) under them with gear teeth, (the Rack)
Which kind do you have
On my main slide (rack and Pinion type) I buy shear pins by the dozen.

I just fixed it.......... thanks guys. Found where the clicking noise was coming from, which lead to a small motor and solenoid, which was right next to the front door step under the coach. It was the hydraulic pump motor. All leads going to the motor and solenoid were corroded. Pulled them all off and hit them up with some sandpaper the put them back on with some anti corrosion grease and now everything is working!!!!!!!
Thanks again !!!!!!!!!
