Kwikee power slide cargo compartment

I need some very quick assistance since I'm leaving in the morning on a trip. My large bay power slide has been acting up from time to time. When I was in Wildwood they supposedly fixed it but it's clearly not fixed.

Right now I extended it to the drivers side, and now it won't retract or return to stow position.

at the very least I would like to get it retracted, even manually, so I can drive the rig. I am afraid to get under there and start moving microswitches because that thing can take your hand off I think.

Any advice guys?

Paul

Follow up to my problem.. I exerted large amounts of muscle power and was able to force the slide back into the docking position so I can drive. It feels like trying to push a car while applying the brakes... somehow I managed so my situation is no longer urgent. Sure would like to disable the electric motors and make them like the first bay o the passenger side... 1/2 slide but it's manually operated. That electric with all the switches and lever is a nightmare. Dangerous to work on too, I think.

The power tray has a lever on the side of the tray that has the motor. You can lean in and move the lever and it will release the tray so you can easily move it. Problem is, you have to put the lever back down to lock the tray. My tray's circuit board went bad and the tray would move on its own. I had to disengage the motor, secure the tray from moving until I got a new board.

Thanks Bill... that latch you refer to doesn't seem to do anything. I lift it up and the tray still doesn't move without forcing it using great effort. I think I need to disassemble the entire thing and see what's wrong. Something is broken or loose most likely.

Could be broken, but just a point of interest, the lever is hard to move. It needs to be moved to an almost 90 degree position up to release the tray. It took two hands and a lot of umph!
