I just recently read some posts on irv2.com about the resort on Blue Diamond (Hwy 160) where some said the only coaches in here were Prevosts and Newells........... NOT TRUE. I am in my Beaver Patriot Thunder, next to me is a Newmar Essex, and a Horizen. As far as meeting people, in the last week I met two couples from Canada, one from the UK, and another from Texas. this is a really nice place to be, best of all it is real dog friendly. For those of you that ever visit Las Vegas I would encourage you to check it out. Hint, in the fall and winter months you want a lot where your coach is facing South...........in the hot summer months you want one facing North..........

Also, if you are coming from the north out of Reno, take the turn off to Parumph which is about 25 miles or more north of Las Vegas, you will come in on the back side of las Vegas and miss all the traffic, nice easy drive. Or if you are continuing south, you can jump right on I-15 without any of the headaches of stalled traffic (which happens almost all the time)

This resort is directly off Blue Diamond (Hwy 60) at Arville street (traffic light there) and it is a quick and easy hop into the strip..........check it out, you will like it.

Chev..I am glad you have found iRV2 and that you are posting on the forum! - I had not heard anything about the rigs being only Prevost or Newells because I know of other Monaco owners who have stayed there. The only thing I had heard was the Class A's must be a newer rig!

I am glad you had a chance to enjoy it! Please keep us up to date.

Are you referring to the Oasis? We stayed there in our 2001 Diplomat in February and saw coaches and other RV's in a variety of models and ages. They all appeared to be clean and in good repair as we drove through the park.

FWIW, After doing a search and looking at the map, the one refered by the OP is on the other side of the I 15 from Oasis.
We stay at Oasis when coming home from Utah several times and like it very much.

We go there at least twice a year. Nice place and a decent price. Spent the last 4 thanksgivings there.

If you are actually at the Las Vegas Motorcoach resort, see who owns the lots that these RV's are parked on. Of course, saying that Prevost and Newell owners are the only ones there is not completely accurate. You will find that the vast majority of owners have a VERY high end coach. They are the only ones who can afford to buy there AND pay the on going maintenance fees.

Bill Adams,I take offense to your post.First off,I own a lot at the Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort. Not all coaches are VERY high end coaches. They do have to be a Class A.You make it sound like only the rich can own a lot there. If you do a little research before you post you would see lots sell there at the same prices as many resorts that sell lots. The monthly fees are about the same as most resorts. Many working class people own lots here, not just rich people. The people who own and visit are just everyday great people.Oasis is a different resort in Vegas and also very nice.Sorry everyone but I wanted to set the record straight about this resort. Hi All,

I also own a lot at the "Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort" and have for 8 years. I personally feel it is the best place to stay with a motorhome in Vegas. I would hardly think that my 2002 Windsor is "Very High End". Today the Lot prices are very fair and rental rates are comparable. If have never stayed there you should give it a try.

Can you rent out your lots to other members or do you have to go directly to Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort? Wifey and I are going to Vegas from Oct 27-Nov 1.
Thanks,
John, Tina and Shelby

No offense was meant to anyone. I do tend to offend despite my desires otherwise.
However, the reality is that the price to own a lot that most folks only use 3-6 months per year is still very high. Even the annual maintenance fees (around $6000/year the last time I checked) makes it too pricey for me. Us poor working folk just can't come up with the $100,000+++ , pay the fees and then only stay there for short periods. I have to say that since the housing market imploded the prices for a lot have come down quite a bit but I still could not afford to buy much less pay the average $75/night rental rate.
God bless those who can as I suspect that with enough time this investment should help offset the overall costs.

Bill,
The Annual Maint fees are $3,696.00 per year. $308 per Month. It may be raised in the future but its never been higher. That includes Water, WiFi, Lawn Maint, Security, Pool, Gym and a great location.

Be aware that they only allow motorhomes. And they will ask you the year of manufacture.
