LCD says 'NO DATA'
I went to check on the coach today, at the storage yard. Upon starting it the LCD screen reads NO DATA over and over again. None of my gauges or warning lights register, other than the red parking brake light. Nothing else appears amiss.
I thought I might have disconnected something behind the dash when I recently removed the CB mic wire, as I do not use the CB. I checked as thoroughly as I could for a disconnection, but found nothing. I then checked fuses in bay under driver, but couldn't locate a fuse indicating it was for the dash.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks.

Okay...I am guessing I stumped everyone with the above post. Has no one else experienced what I did?
At any rate, I went to the coach again yesterday and now all my gauges and warning lights are working. My guess is after shutting off everything when I left the coach the last time, the thing rebooted and now works.

We also have a 2008 dynasty. I have never had the no data but a similar message that says data connection lost. It may be a problem with the J1939 communication setup. Monaco has had some problems and it is a bear to fix! The one person at Monaco that new how to fix this is gone from Monaco as are most of the old Monaco employees. The ECM communicates with the BCM, ABS, Allison and more. Fixing this can be a nightmare. There a bunch of connections and they can have poor contacts. They are Deutsch connectors. Triangular. One of the problem connectors is in a bundle of wires on the upper frame just in front od the rear run bay. Hard to get at. usually wrapped with tape. Even a bad battery connection can cause your symptom. I have heard of the problem being caused by a wire issue in the drivers armrest and behind the dash readout. I really do not know any shop that is familiar with this problem on a Monaco. Big trucks have a similar system but the wire harness is very short . On a MH if the tech is not familiar with your system one could easily spend $3000 and it still is NG. Did you try disconnecting all the batteries and the solar panel to see if it will reset? I hope I am wrong and it something simple!

Thanks for your post.
We used the coach this past weekend without incident. The 'NO DATA' reading has only occurred once, since I bought the coach in February.
After this occurred which was at the outdoor storage yard, I shut off everything prior to leaving the coach including most circuit breakers, salesman's switch, and chassis batteries shut off switches. Upon returning to the coach a few days later, all was okay.
What has me a bit concerned, is if this should occur while driving the coach. Imagine losing all your gauges while driving. I don't know what other things might not work. What if headlights shut down, while driving at night?

Ah, you are talking about the dash gauges ! - at first I wasn't sure which lcd you were talking about
good deal it's back on (and I HAVE lost all dash gauges, along with power steering, and engine and brakes when a large fuse in the rear run box shorted ! and on an overhead flyover intersection at 50 mph !!!!! oh what pucker power )

I should have been more specific in my original post. Yes...the small LCD screen on the dash, just below the speedometer. It kept reading NO DATA...over and over again, with nothing light up and no gauges working, while motor was running.
At least you found out what was wrong, though it sounds like you went through a very scary moment. I've no idea what would cause the dash to shut down like that.
