Leaking fresh water tank

I went out this morning and noticed a large wet spot on the concrete under the coach. After checking everything out I have determined I have a leak in my fresh water tank I'm getting ready to start the removal process. My question can these tanks be repaired?

I’ve read that 3M 5200 adhesive used in marine applications will work. Never used it personally. Also read that it can be welded but it’s tricky.

I recently went through this with my 2002 Monaco Windsor 40PST. After pulling the tank and finding nothing wrong with the tank itself it turned out to be the fresh water fill hose. Not the pressure connection. It has a very contorted connection from the tank to the panel. Mine had been replaced with something larger than original, evidently from a hardware store. I got the right hose material from the RV store and have had no more problems. The original and replacement are very flimsy. On another note, I have many files on what I spent over $3000 on parts plus 100s of hours of my labor within a few months of purchase. It only had 59,000 miles on it. I had to replace almost every appliance in it plus I figured out what is usually the fuel system problem that most people have hell with and spend thousands without correct repair. I still have to replace the subfloor and tile because of a common leak that was ignored by previous owners. Fortunately for me, I have been a professional mechanic for over 57 years. My RV is almost the same as yours and I can tell you hundreds of problems to watch for that can hopefully explain a lot of simple repairs before they cause a lot bigger serious problems that I have had. I have learned a lot the hard way. The last pusher I had, I had to completely rebuild the Cummins 8.3

I see comments on other possibilities, chase them down first. But if there truly is a crack it can be welded. Look for a shop that welds plastics, look for a shop that builds tumbling barrels or other industrial items. They can weld it properly and maybe even add some strength in future failure spots.

I found my leak in water bladder, was very small and took awhile to find.

Maybe I can finish getting the tank out today, not an easy task. I'll report back what I find praying it's not a hole in the tank.

Well I got the tank out and it is the filler hose leaking where it connects to the top of the tank and not a hole in the tank

It wasn't all that hard of a job. I had to get the panels off in the wet bay which was the hardest part of all, had to cut one of them in half with a saw zaw. Once I was able to get the panels out I could reach all the water connections and disconnect each one, after that it was just a matter of sliding the tank out on the curb side of the coach. After fixing the leaking filler hose, I cleaned up the compartment really good and slid it back in connected the lines all back, filled her with water and checked for leaks. I am pleased to announce I have noneI reinstalled the panels, and the one I cut into I was able to fit it back together, fill it in with some white caulk and it actually don't look that bad. Now I still have to replace my rear AC it is suppose to be delivered on Monday. Maybe after that job we can take a trip and kick back for a while

Are you aware the new A/Cs will not normally play well with the old style
A/Cs .
They can be made to operate together though .
I just wanted to make sure you are aware .
