The brass fitting where you hook up the hose to fill the fresh water tank has a slow drip. Is there a way to stop this leak short of opening up that bay and replacing the fitting?

It is a spring loaded one-way valve and sometimes you can shove a small screwdriver in it to reset the seal. Otherwise, it will need to be replaced.

But make sure you turn off the pump and relieve the water pressure before doing this -- if you don't, not only will you get a blast of water in your face, but it may damage the valve.

If the check valve does need to be replaced, and it looks like that will be too much work, the cheap low-tech solution is to get a garden hose screw cap. I've seen them in both brass and plastic. Brass will last longer, but the plastic one will work just fine. Just make sure either type has a good washer on it.

Thats exactly what I did till I can track down that part. Should be a fairly straight forwar R and R(famous last words). The hard prt will be finding the new brass connector.

Are they pretty mcuh the same for all coaches or does monaco use something special?
