I have 03 Knight 32ft. with a kitchen slide it has a leak in the white flex pipe in the drain pipe looks like about 11/2" pipe, does anybody know what to replace it with? Or fix the leak. Was thinking about using silicone. Its right where the pipe flexes when the slide goes in and out.

Hard to suggest a fix without seeing the problem. Silicone maybe?? Depending on what kind of plastic it is silicone might or might not stick to it. Only sure fix is to replace the flex pipe.

Is it possible to purchase replacement pipe at Lowes/Home Depot and install it.

Can't remember where I read it but someone bought a replacement at Lowes and was able to replace the bad pipe. The person doing the repair was of slight build and had to be pulled out of the hole when the work was done as they could not get out on their own. That eliminates one repair I could do.

Thanks guys, I'm thinking silicone. The pipe is a soft white pipe with what looks a wire running through it. I would have to splice a piece in where it is broke, one end I can't get to.

Jim,

If you belong to this group:
Monacoers : Monacoers

there is a very detailed procedure on how to repair the slide out kitchen drain hose in the files section.

If you don't belong you should join for the wealth of information on Monaco products. It does not cost anything. There is also a very good section on where to buy parts maintained by Rex who you will see post often on this board.

Jim D. don't use silicone. Use all purpose PVC glue. I doubt that will hold for long either but the silicone will not. You should be able to find a similar pipe and fittings at Lowe's or Home Depot. Don't forget to check in the pool supply area for hose as well as plumbing.

I have a 07 Beaver Contessa (basically a Monaco product), and the same thing happen to me for the 2nd time. First I got a small hole in the white flex pipe and on the last trip out it broke the plastic fitting off in the 90 degree elbow. I went to the Hose Man today and bought the "Bellowsflex 38mm 1 1/2" ID" hose replacement. It's not cheap, but it will last the life of the coach. It is designed to hold gasoline and is very flexable without getting a kink in it!!
