The gauge reading may not be accurate due to the voltage drop in the wiring. The only sure way is to measure the voltage on the alternator terminals. You could also measure the battery voltage on the chassis battery terminals. If it is above 13.2 volts your alternator is OK . Your tests will have to be done with the engine running at 1600 RPM and the loads on as in your post.
