Leveling procedure when blocking wheels
After reading lots of posts about leveling my Monaco slideout,extend first then dump air, level last, which seems like endless opinions, where does the leveling blocks fit in the scheme of things? Do I extend slideouts first then put blocks under tire or blocks first. I was confused on the procedure without level blocks so please could someone please confuse me some more.

I dump the air springs, then level the coach, then
put out the slides. You can adjust the level as
needed if/as the coach settles. Seems logical to me.

I try to get level 1st. If that means blocks , use blocks. Once that stage is done, I auto level, key must be on for that. now that is done, I turn off the key, now the slide will work. extend the slides. I do not dump air.Also after settling I adjust manually a little if needed. Some parking spaces really bad, I would move if too bad, body flex is not favorable for the coach.

I don't have a Monaco, but here is a question.
What happens if you park on an excessive slope?
With my HWH system, there is a limit as to how much slope the system can handle.
By Leveling first, I get a indication of "Excessive Slope".
For the air bag system, do they indicate anything when you park about slope, or do you extend slides, then attempt to level and find out you have excessive slope?

I do not dump the air either, the first time I did the steps hit the ground. My coach has never lost any air out of the bags yet. It bothers me that if I block the tires first that would similar to deploying the levelors which by many is the wrong sequence, so you can see my confusion.

I believe that "StevieG" has deduced the preferred sequence for leveling that includes blocks- for a Monaco.

Not all Monaco coaches are the same... Some have 3 jacks some have 4 jacks , and multiple slides.

I have heard of cracked windshields, and door problems due to the stress of un level surfaces. I only have 3 jacks and some coaches have 4. That could cause a difference in "proper sequence" My slides do not have power unless the ignition key is off, for a reason it would seem. My jacks require the key to be on to operate, for a reason. My jacks have instructions also. I believe each configuration has a process to follow, you just need to find the Right way and one that works for your coach.Trying what someone else is doing and not having exactly the same coach could cause problems, IMHO.

I'm always amused at all the back and forth on this subject. Monaco makes perfectly clear that they want the slides moved when the coach is at ride height. If you are on blocks, a rock, a ridge in the pavement, it doesn't matter, you're at ride height.
