Leveling with a tag axle

We have a 2009 42 PDQ Scepter with the LCI level system. Do you raise the tag when leveling?
If not do the airbags deflate when dumping the air

Never heard of anyone raising tag when leveling, to the best of my knowledge when leveling my Monaco all bags deflate to level coach.

Straight from my manual - a 2008 Scepter 42PDQ so it should be the same for yours. no mention of the tag. I let the auto level worry about it.

AUTOMATIC AIR LEVELING INSTRUCTIONS
Prior to Leveling
ENGINE ON, PLACE TRANSMISSION IN NEUTRAL, FRONT WHEELS STRAIGHT, MH AT RIDE HEIGHT WITH AIR TANKS FULL. CONTROL PANEL IN TRAVEL MODE.
TURN OFF IGNITION AND EXTEND SLIDE-OUTS

LEVELING PROCEDURE
START ENGINE, PRESS POWER ON LEVELING CONTROL PANEL, INDICATOR WILL BE GREEN
PRESS AUTO TO INITIATE LEVELING PROCESS
WHEN ALL LIGHTS IN THE MOTORHOME ICON ARE GREEN THE MOTORHOME IS LEVEL
LEAVE CONTROL PANEL ON AND TURN IGNITION OFF

AFTER LEVELING
SYSTEM GOES TO “SLEEP” AFTER 15 SECONDS
SYSTEM GOES INTO “LOW POWER” AFTER 20 SECONDS INDICATED BY OCCASIONAL FLASHING OF THE AUTO AND POWER INDICATORS
AFTER A PERIOD IN “LOW POWER” THE SYSTEM WAKES AND CHECKS TO SEE IF RE-LEVELING IS REQUIRED. IF REQUIRED SYSTEM WILL AUTOMATICALLY LEVEL THE MOTORHOME.

NOTE: TURNING OFF THE CONTROL PANEL AFTER LEVELING WILL DISABLE THE SYSTEM AND NOT ALLOW AUTOMATIC RE-LEVELING.

HTH, sorry for the all caps but was making a placard to put beside my chair so I don't forget anything.

I hate this process as you have to re-start the MH and idle while it levels, I think it makes more sense to level and then put out the slides, but what do i Know.

Note to the OP, on your 2009 your air bags on your model will INFLATE and DEFLATE automatically, controlled by the small air compressor up front and the leveling system.
