O.K. I'm stumped. I've got a 93 Dynasty and I've broken the clear plastic lighted assist handle outside the entry door. I've searched the net and my skills aren't good enough to let me find a replacement. Anyone got any help? thanks very much in advance.

You could always try the Monaco Store if they still carry them. Lighted handle. Or MM's favorite Northwest RV Supply

If you don't have a light in your handle, Monaco sells a light kit for repair that you could adapt to your non lighted handle.
We were parked next to someone who had one and I couldn't sleep until we had one also.

Got my replacement lens from Fleming Sales in Elkhart, In. 574-295-0234. Mine is the curved one with Monaco printed on it. The replacement was around $30 with anything you want printed that will fit. Didn't even charge a set up fee to put our name on it instead of Monaco.

I was in the Monaco Store at the Harrisburg service center today and saw the lighted entry handles on a shelf. Since I wasn't looking for one I didn't check the price but they did have several. Also for those looking, I purchased a quart of Ultra Concentrate fluid made by Camco for my Aquahot system for $12.50. This concentrate makes 3 quarts total.

Drifter-- Have you installed the new lighted handle yet? Was there a wire harness avialable for hooking this up or did you have to fish for wires?
Thanks,
Jim

Jim, if you remove the switch plate, just inside the entrance door, you have acess to all the circuits behind there right inside where the handle would go. You could hook it up to the porch light switch, or the step light switch, etc.
Drifter, is that number on the envelope the correct part number for the kit - 5018061 78?

Robin,
The number is 501806678 and was under $10.00
Relgel, I wired it to the step light. You have to find the hot wire for the power and use the wire from the step switch to interrupt the ground. Also had to drill out the upper inside of the handle mount to 3/4" to accept the light.

Drifer is correct. The switch will completes the ground and you will need to connect the + end of the light to a suitable +12v. There is a red wire in the switch bundle that can be tapped for 12v and the - end of the light can be attached to the NO open side of the stepwell switch and not the side connected to ground.

I added a new rocker switch for mine. I like being able to have only the handle turned on without other lights. There are plenty of wires to choose from in that panel!
