The inside lighted clear plastic grab handle on our Dynasty is now "removable". Only the center clear plastic part is loose and no longer securely attached to the upper and lower metal ends.
Has anyone been successful in gluing this back in place? It appears that it has been glued in the past and maybe the selection of glue was not compatible with the materials.
Recommendations on the type of glue?
Should I remove the screws from the metal ends, take off the ends, re-glue the center section to the ends while on the workbench and then remount to the wall with new screw holes, making sure the ends hold the center section snugly??
Suggestions Welcome!!!

Our handles may be different, but mine was not glued or attached to the metal ends at all. The plastic handle slips into the metal ends, and floats.
You may try to just remove the ends, then see if you can adjust then a bit tighter together. There is a little bit of play with the screw holes, so that would be the first thing I tried.
If the handle end has broken off, it may need to be replaced.

Thanks, Kev, I'll give that a try.
By the way, your animation is great. I was disapointed when the Captain's and Navigator's seats did not turn around!!! Just Kidding!

Les.
I had a similar problem awhile back, there seems to be a lip on the edge of these, anyways I bought that RV Goop from wal mart and filled the ends on both sides and had no other problems since then. Had to tape the ends until the goop dried, but all is well now. Also found the void space had leaked and held water which could have caused problems later down the road. Hope this helps.

Thanks Steve/Pat. I did buy some Loctite two part plastic epoxy yesterday. I'm going to look at the handle tomorrow and figure out which way to try first.
I appreciate everyone's suggestions.

I did both...
Once I cleaned up the ends of the clear plastic (Lexan?) handle, I test fitted the metal ends and saw that I could indeed move the end pieces closer together. I drilled new pilot holes for the upper end piece screws. I used the two-part plastic epoxy to repair the chipped ends of the plastic and screwed the handle in place while the epoxy was setting up. It looks nice and tight.
We will see in a few days when I give it a test tug or two. We won't be swinging from it, but hopefully, it won't fall off when visitors come in and out.
If this "fix" is not successful, I believe we will need to replace the handle. I can't imagine that Monaco prices these cheaply???

Not sure if yours is like mine or not, but the Monaco store has them for $50 - including chrome ends and LED - Lighted Grab Handle

Thanks, Kev. I really was not aware of the web storefront.
The price is reasonable. I would have thought they would be more expensive.
The handle pictured is identical to the exterior one on our coach. The interior one, the repaired one, is the same but without the Monaco logo. I would not object to the logo in order to get a new replacement.
I'll be doing some window shoping on the web site. Thanks!
