The rest of the story:
I posted in April of my driver side slide creeping out on I-75 in Florida. We stayed 11 days at the Alliance Coach RV center in Wildwood. A replacement of the Hydraulic pump and manifold as was the recommeneded fix by the manufacture Lippert and the Service tech. (a oil mist was present on the manifold but no drips).
I test drove the coach around the campground after the repair and stayed the Friday night with the slide retracted. Saturday morning the slide was tight against the seals

!! Soo we head home.
On I-75, after approx. 25 miles the slide moved out again just like before

. It was Saturday and Alliance was closed. I decided to do a Yankee fix, so we headed for the nearest Hardware store. see pic
The turnbuckles and U-bolts got us 1150 miles home through several rain showers- dry as a bone.
I proceeded to dig into the problem with a pressure gauge, hose, and finding the correct caps and plugs at my Hydraulic repair facility. After 30 min I found the front cylinder would not hold pressure.
I had the cylinder removed and repaired. We found the piston seal (PSP 214 A) showed mechanical impression on the ID and a notch on OD. Replaced the O-ring seal also (#112). (Cost approx $30.00 for parts). The cylinder bore showed a mirror finish with no imperfections.
This experience with our 09 New coach left me a little gun shy leaving home without a better backup. I designed a deadbolt pin to engage a welded extension through the slide main extension beam to lock it closed.
I can report after approx 10,000 mile to Alaska and back, No problems with the slide,MH,Toad, glass or tires

.
Conclusion:
Thanks to this forum I was aware of Lippert problems. The service manager at Alliance said no warrenty. We then called back to Lippert with names and dates. Lippert agreed to sent a new asm.
Lippert sent the replacement at no cost but I got stuck with the Labor cost, cylinder seals and 13 days of inconvenience. My experience with Lippert would lead me to belive the the manufacturing process and material quality has a serious problems.
Brett Howard of Alliance Coach refunded me the cost of the cylinder repair. Bretts' team gave it their best shot and treated me fairly.
