I just wonder if you had a long list of members like we do here if someone compiled a list of common problems; what kind of statistics it would show about quality. Not a bashing thread please! Just looking for some stats.

Format 1. Problem - miles at issue. (description / details)

Mine to date are:

1. FCA - 13,000 miles (Fan Clutch / water pump failure / radiator)
2. Bay heater - 14,000 miles
3. Leaking slide - 15,000 miles (Bedroom street side)
3. Squeaking leaf spring shackles - 15,000 miles
4. Bay heater - 16,000 miles (currently bad again)
5. Hydraulic Pump Unit Failure - 18,000 miles (Lippert pump)
6. Delaminating slide - 28,000 miles (Bottom of bedroom slide. Curb side.)
7. Hydraulic Pump Unit Failure - 29,000 miles (Lippert pump)

As DriVer stated, it's a great project.

However, I really don't keep track of mileage for my repairs as the last few years, I've been parked in one spot and done some small trips here and there. But, I have kept every repair invoice or part I've needed to order for repairing the problems on my coach since I've owned it. I also have the repair records from the original owners. So most of mine are date related.

I'd be willing to share the details if someone wants to build a spreadsheet or some other information record type.

I don't keep track either and in a way make an excellent owner for a motorhome since I love to tinker and fix things. About 4 years ago we sold our big house with endless maintenance and yard work and moved to the country to a small one level brick that has almost no maintenance. Granted, it is new and that may change with age, but so far so good. Having the motorhome gives me lots of projects and keeps me busy. Each time we go on a trip I make notes of things I would like to change and or modify and also things that need to be fixed. So far we have been lucky and have not had any failures that stranded us or reduced the use of the coach. Guess I should knock on some wood. Just did!. Hope it works.
