Location of Pressure Reducer - 2007 HR Scepter

Currently using a Watts pressure regulator at the post, but would assume the coach has one internally . . . somewhere, I would think close to the water inlet value. The owner's manual however doesn't mention it. Any ideas on where it would be located? Thanks

On this Beaver I would have thought it would have a inlet regulator, but it did not. I always check the pressure at the post to see if I need a reg and if under 60 psig I don't use it. If above I use the Watts regulator. IMO it is best to have the reg at the post that way it will protect the whole system from a over pressurization. I've see a couple of parks with 100 psig water pressure.

I agree with the previous post and also use an external pressure regulator on the hose.

Thanks all. I'll suspend my search for the internal pressure reducer!

Take a look at page 139 of your owners manual. I shows you should use an external pressure regulator on the city water input. So no internal.

itdave: Thanks for the page number. I'll continue to use the external pressure reducer.

I had one on the inlet side, located near the water pump - behind a sliding panel on the back side about the middle of the rear storage bay. I removed it because it was restricting water pressure on the city connection too much.

If the coach has one, Normally it is the city water inlet,
Sur-Flo (A Watts company) makes a city water inlet with a pressure reducer built in.

how to tell if you have one two ways.

Normally, if the city water inlet is in a "Flange" and there is a small "Vent' type opening usually under the connection, that's a pressure regulator.

If no flange or no vent look behind it. The non-regulated inlet is a 1/2 inch IPT fitting, the regulated one is about 1/1/2-2" in diamater kind of square and has 4 screws holding it together.
