I'm feeling it now--I hit a ticket dispenser and took two bay doors out.
My body shop has been working with Monaco for three or four weeks trying to get the parts to repair the damage, he is about to give up and let me find another shop, so he can get to work on other projects.
He said he is crossing Monaco off his list as coaches to work on.

Try a local sign company to have aluminum made up for a door.

I think the article said- that selling the RV division was that Analysts (apparently they don't have names) have cited this.....
The CEO said that they are "reviewing ALL operations beyond it's core North America truck and parts business to see if they need to be Fixed, Closed, or Sold"
At this time it is hard to say what will be fixed, sold or closed. One thing that Navistar has going for it is they have a lot of hard assets that can be sold and converted to cash (I think this is why so much interest in the stock from Icahn and Rachesky is because they know they can spin off these assets get the cash and still keep the core of Navistar and or merge it with someone like Oshkosh- which Icahn has a big stake in) Keep in mind the RV division is a very small part of those assets.
So at this point regarding the RV division no one really knows what will happen. As of the past 6 months Navistar has change the name to Navistar RV and is ramping up hires and production in Indiana. So there actions seem to send a different message. However I agree the RV Division is in the mix of the many assets that are being discussed - We just don't know where that is going.
My two cents (speculation) would be that they either keep the RV division since it is on the rebound or they sell it to either Thor or Forest River (really the only two RV companies that could put a deal this size together). Either one of these choices keeps the brands going (Holiday Rambler, Monaco, R-Vision) and they are very good brands in the industry. Also these two choices will keep jobs. Just closing it down would be very unfortunate but it seems highly unlikely and doesn't really create any value for Navistar nor does it make much sense based on what they have invested in the last 6 months. Also with the RV division shutting down Oregon production and selling that plant it has made the company much more lean and efficient than it as a year ago.
I will give credit to the new CEO for making tough choices. Even Navistars biggest critic- analyst Vicki Bryant is being more positive toward the CEOs moves and Navistar. I hate to see loss of jobs at some of these plants (I thinks a number of them however will be lost overseas.). But it appears this CEO is doing what it will take to make sure Navistar remains viable and eventually profitable.
But again I think one way or another you will all see the RV brands continuing
Either under the Navistar RV banner or become part of the brands of another RV company. Just closing it down makes no sense and unlikely.

We have just finished making a deal on price and options with a dealer and now this comes up, glad I haven't given any deposit as of yet. Guess I got some more head scratching to do.
I do have to agree with you though, I think they have come to far with the Monaco end to think of closing it. Sell it maybe, but close it I don;t think so.

I would not put touch faith in Navistar making a logical decision. If you look at how they handled all that SCR v EGR fiasco I would say they are a company out of control who a seem to rely on ego instead of common sesne. They are a victim of their own mistakes.
