I drove the Dynasty to Helen, Ga to Unicoi Springs Camp Resort and all went well. After setting up my son mentioned the dash radio lights went out along with the compass/temp display and all of the 12v plugs for charging the cell phone.

We checked the disconnect switch, it is on. Checked the fuse box and all are ok. We can turn the ingnition on and the dash lights work ok.

Any hints as to where else to look for a power loss?

Thanks

Wayne

Just a guess here. Did you check the main disconnect red rotary knobs in the storage bay? Another wild guess on my part would be the circuit breaker buttons on the inverter, but DH says that is for 110 not 12v. I'd suggest calling MCC Tech Support at 1-877-466-6226. Good luck.

Wayne;
You've probably already tried this. Turn OFF the disconnect switch, (mine is located by the entry door), and turn it back on.

Last week I was working in the coach alone, repairing a cabinet I crushed in another thread, and all of the sudden all of the coach lights went out, including the radio, etc.

After checking fuses, disconnect switches, etc. I called a truly nice lady at Monaco.

She suggested the above and everything came back on. Go figure. She said I must have bumped the switch on the way into the coach - my rear's not THAT big!

Don't know where it is located in a Dynasty, but it is probably the 12 volt solenoid.
Kev had the problem a long time ago and so have several others with SOB coaches
Here's a link to a pic hooked up normally and a pic of it bypassed in Kevs Knight..

We turned the disconnect switch off and all the lights went off then turned it back on the lights came on but the radio was still off. When I get back to the coach on Sunday I will check again all of the things that were mentioned.

SacsTC: thanks for the link to Kev's solution. Now for the big question: where would the solenoid be located? I printed the photos and will take them with me.

If that's the case, then that 12v power supply solenoid is probably working OK in your coach. I would also check for blown fuses in your main chasis fuse box (probably in the front run bay). Since more than one circuit seems effected, the problem could also be an open ground wire.

Update on power loss. Thought I would let you guys know what we found.

After getting back to the coach I opened the front electronic bay and checked the fuses - all OK. Tried the disconnect switches at the door and in the rear and stil had no power to radio, etc.

In the front electrical bay there are 3 panels of fuses. The first panel had all of the fuses for the items that did not work. The first panel had a thick red wire coming from it to the side of the bay and not to a visible solenoid. The other 2 panels had fuses for the chassis, etc. These panels had red wires that went to the 2 solenoids located in the bay and they had power, both solenoids were good.

Followed the red wire for the first panel to the engine compartment. There are 2 electric panels, one on each side of the engine area. The left panel is the Low Voltage panel and the one on the right is the High Voltage panel. Each panel has 2 solenoids for a total of 6 in the coach.

The red wire went to one solenoid and it was indeed defective. Bought a new one from a dealer for $18, installed it and the radio, awning, 12v plugs, power shades, fans, etc all work!

This is a great forum to point one in the right direction!!! Thanks for all the input.

Wayne

Thanks for the update, Wayne. Glad you resolved the problem. Your explanation goes to show you how much Monaco changes the circuits over the model years. Also it's good to keep in mind that an S-Series chassis coach can be wired quite differently than a coach on a raised rail chassis.
