LP Extend a stay?
Am looking into tapping into the LP line to feed my BBQ on an 05 Dynasty. Not worried about attaching another LP tank, just feed the BBQ/ firepit. Does anyone have the correct part number for the adapter to go between the tank valve and the high pressure hose? I've done a little on line searching but there seems to be several options. Thought I would ask someone who may have done it already.

Did you look behind the curb-side fuel door to see if you might not have a fitting available, already, for your BBQ? Our '06 Dynasty did come with one, and it works quite well.
As for fittings, I wound up separating the gas valve from the regulator on our BBQ and then visiting the local Ace Hardware. I bought a hose with a quick coupling on one end that would mate with the fitting on the motorhome and one end that fit into the valve on the BBQ. It works. The only issue is the fact that the tap available for our BBQ is already at the low, regulated pressure that is used by the refrigerator and the range in the coach. That pressure is barely adequate for the BBQ, but it does work adequately. Our BBQ is a Weber Baby-Q.
If you are in Tucson, the Ace at 22nd and Kolb is AWESOME!!!

My understanding is that the behind the curb-side fuel door propane fitting is used for techs to check the low side pressure in your coach system, not for use for your BBQ. BBQ's are set up to use the high side.

Thanks for the info, I will poke around tomorrow and see about an existing QC. I have modified my Weber to use the factory low pressure QC on my previous TT with success, hopefully there is one already there on the MH.

My 2001 diplomat also has a hose already installed. I'd be surprised you don't have one, unless a PO took it out.

Here's the page from our Dynasty owners manual. It is intended for just what you are wanting to do. 😊 Again, you will need to make your BBQ and fire pit function with the low pressure that is available at that connection.

Well, you all got my hopes up but no luck on the curbside QC fitting. The low pressure from the regulator travels across the fuel bay to the middle when it makes a right turn and disappears into the body. They could have easily put a tee where the elbow is but they didn't and doing it now would be way too much work. So now it's back to teeing into the high pressure side as it leaves the LP tank and getting it over to the curbside. I'll take a second look at CW and see if one of those will work.

Dan, I looked into that option also but ended up with just carrying a small 11lb tank in the bay behind the fuel tank on the drivers side. It was this tank I believe. Worthington Pro Grade 11 lb. Empty Propane Tank-281165 at The Home Depot
I found it to be very handy as it was light enough that I could place it anywhere on the campsite with the grill.

The small cylinder certainly is an option I've considered and may be the simplest most practical solution. As you well know the rig only uses LP for the stove so I was thinking of trying to expand its usefulness when needed, but not to the extent of making any major plumbing changes. The valve on the tank is pointed down at a 45 degree angle and may not have enough room to put a tee adapter in. That may leave me with the only option of tapping into one side or the other regulator depending on if I want high or low pressure. Thanks
