Hey everyone,
I'm thinking of replacing my M9900DVD with an M1-LCD-2. It's used and I noticed that the 2 has a smaller screen than the M1-LCD. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated. The used M1-Lcd-2 is only $100. Or I can wait for the M-4. Great forum!

I replaced my M9900DVD with the M1 LCD because it was almost a direct fit and the connections were plug and play. The M1 is a little bigger than the M9900, so it required a little cutting and fab but not much. I like the M1 a lot, but it failed after about 5 months (quit turning on). Sent it back for warranty repairs, and got a brand new one in the mail a week later.

I installed the M1 LCD as well. I had to lightly modify the dash, but the unit was a direct plug in to the existing wiring.

Every now and then I have to unplug the GPS connection so that it will reset and work properly.
