I ordered the oil, fuel and hydraulic filters specified in the 2008 Holiday Rambler Scepter manual and now find that Monaco has the wrong secondary filter number listed twice! I called Monaco tech support and they said they knew and were very apologetic about the error. They always have been very nice and helpful, so it is tough to be mad at them. It is possible that the manual is wrong on every 2008 coach that has the ISL 400 engine.
The manual calls for Fleetguard FF5636 as the secondary fuel filter but of course it should be a Fleetguard FF5488. The filters are identical in size and shape. The FF5636 has only 50% the fuel flow capacity per hour as the FF5488.
I looked at my secondary filter before I ordered replacements, but the last 3 numbers were oversprayed with paint, so I believed the manual. It is a good thing I ordered the filters from Midwest Wholesales, they are great and didn't even charge me additional shipping to return the wrong filter and order the correct one.
