Mcd shades

Have one shade that does not retract all the way. Going to have bunch of minor warranty done soon. Any way to tighten shade roller before I get the above work done??

On one side of the shade is a "wheel" that can be rotated to adjust the distance the shade rolls up. deSanford

If you have the new gold series shades I don't think they have the side rollers. I'll check and post back. We have someone here who has installed the gold series shades, very nice.

If you have the American Duo Series with the external hem rail, you do have two wheels. the black wheel is for tension adjustment and the gray wheel is for upper stop point adjustment. If it is the night shade and it rolls forward in towards the inside of the coach, the tension adjustment wheel will be on your right side. If it is the day shade, it will roll towards the window and the adjustment wheel will be on your left side. Just turn the wheel to the right to tighten it. (Looking at the appropriate end of the shade)

We have the American Duo Series shades that are about three years old, but ours have all black wheels. Maybe because they are older or that ours came in the box with the mounting brackets loose from the shades. They took some time to get working and are nice upgrade from the old shades, hope that the Duo's now come in one assembly.

Mike,

We are in the process of installing our new MCD American Duo Series shades now. I have finished the bedroom, which are all manual, and one of the combos (manual day/ power night). Our shades all came assembled with the day and night combined in a single assembly. I ordered the 14 channel remote with the 5 powered shades up front and was surprised to find that MCD had preprogrammed and labeled the remote. They had even set the upper and lower stops although I did adjust them slightly.

We are very pleased with the shades so far and can't wait to get done and go for a camping trip.

Bob
