Recently heard that Monaco has made arrangements with Michelin Tire for owners to purchase tires at a discount. Has anyone purchased tires under this arrangement? If so, what type of discount was involved? I do know that FMCA members get a discount but I think the Monaco one provides more savings. I need to purchase 4 tires for my coach. Presently at Deer Creek Golf & RV Resort in Davenport FL.

I appreciate your assistance.

It is the group Monaco International that has the discount.

Yes, that is the group. I had big 285/70 22.5 tires and shopped around for a long time and got what I thought to be the best bottom price they beat it by $100 a tire. It was good for me. I had shopped real hard to get what I thought was the lowest price.

I thought both the FMCA and Monaco plan are the "Advantage" plan and should get you the same discount.

I'm not sure that it's the same plan. The FMCA plan from what I see has you getting a estimate from the tire store and then after the tires are installed you will get the actual charge on your credit card (about a week later) with a promise that the charge will usually be less than the quote.

With the Monaco International plan I down loaded a price sheet so that I could shop and compare prices before I gave out any CC info. My price sheet was about $ 100/tire less than dealer cost on 295/80R/22.5.

Here is a good Tire Program thread Michelin discount thru FMCA?

FMCA vs Monaco International, I'm a member of both and depending on the size you buy price is different. With FMCA 315's are cheaper, for 295's Monaco International is cheaper.
Not sure why but they are. With FMCA I saved $200 per tire over quoted price.

I think the prices and processes are the same, price differences can be a matter of timing. Both offers are based on the Michelin fleet price, so you get the tires installed, Michelin bills your credit card, and pays a commission to the installer.

The fleet prices change from time to time, and if you inquire from FMCA and later from Monaco Int'l. you may get a different price.

I used Monaco Int'l. because they knew how to do it in Canada, and FMCA were still new at it and a bit confused.

Where I live I saved over $100 a tire (will vary depending on what your local dealers will sell at), and I can say that compared to the G670 Goodyears the ride and road noise are both much improved.

distaff,

Joined Monaco International to access discount on tires. Looks like at least $70-80 per tire saving. Thanks for the information.

You have to be a member of FMCA to be a member of the Monaco International club, as Monaco International is a club within FMCA.
