Anyone tire up to 295/80R 22.5 from 275/80R 22.5s? On our 2011 Navistar Monaco we have the 275s, but the next year Navistar Monaco upped their tire size to the 295s. I inspected a couple of 2012 Knight Navistar Monaco RVs with the 295s, and noted there wasn't much space between the fiberglass and the rear duals. deSanford

I have not looked into them yet, but by the end of this week I will have to start looking for alternatives. The issue seems to be the size. The 295/80R 22.5 seems to be an odd and uncommon size, therefore not to readily available. There are some load range H's available out there in the 295/75 but they are not the same weight capacity as the 295/80 LR H. I have looked at Continental, Bridgestone(9.0" wheels only) and Firestone and none have any available, I will not look at GY.Thanks for the suggestion, will look into them. I have read on here and elsewhere that people seem to be happy with them. Happy Trails Bert.

Lots of Monaco's around with Bridgestone 295/80s with no issues. I've had them on my drive and tag for two years now.

I think they had access to a couple of Bridgestone R250F in the 295/80, but had ruled them out because of the wheel size requirement. Does your Sig have 9" wheels on it by chance. In rechecking the Bridgestone info, it does call for a 9" wheel only according to the book for the R250F in the 295/80 22.5 and the factory rep called engineering and confirmed that. That is not to say that they cannot be mounted and used successfully on 8.25" wheels. Don't know if the 8.25" wheel would make that much difference but there would be no warranty at all according to the rep. Let me know what size wheels you are running if you can. Thanks Bert

My wheels are 8.25". Many users on the Monacoers forum are using these Bridgestones with no issue.

I checked with the dealer after reading this earlier and they said they would not mount the Bridgestone knowing the size requirement for the wheels. It creates a liability issue for them. But yet a dealer can put 295/75's on a vehicle which underrates the front axle weight by 2500# or more. Go figure.

I did find an alternate source for the Michelin 295/80's, and he can get them, but he does not participate in the advantage program so there goes the price.

Have a great day. Happy Trails Bert

If there were a court case the dealer could easily say he did not know the actual weight of the axle but could not say he did not know the wheel size requirement.

Well that settles that I will continue to tire up with the 275s. Thanks everyone for their input. deSanford
