Microphor Toilet

If your motor has quit working on the 12v dc toilet, instead of calling Microphor and ordering a new one for $350 or so, do a web search for a Dayton 1LNG7 gear motor and you will find several for under $100. This is the exact motor you will get from Microphor and you just have to add the mounting plate to the motor. Save yourself about $250.

If your timer has stopped working, don't pay $200 for a new one from Microphor. Go online and find a SSAC timer part number TDUBL3002A, which is the company that made the original. The only difference between the old and new timer is the old had a screw you could turn to increase the bowl water level. The new one is binary and you just set the time by pushing the tabs in a combination to get the desired water level. This new switch cost $55 and I got mine from Relay Specialist in NJ. Just google them to order.

Ours has been working well. Did get have a pvc shaving get hung in the water valve last year and that is why I always turn the water pump off when traveling, it made quite a mess . Lately it has been holding water sometimes and not holding water others. I cleaned the gasket and it seemed to help some. Is there a way to adjust the main flapper tension?

You can adjust the tension on the arm that moves the flapper, but you will have to remove the toilet, turn it over and remove the hopper to adjust it. If you go that far, buy the new flap kit and install it. It is simple to do as the old style gasket is no longer available and there have been some problems with leakage around the flap according to Microphor trying to install the new seal on the old flap. The kit costs about $80. When you remove the hopper, you should get a new seal kit also. Hope this helps you out.
